Charlene Ward Johnson

Charlene Ward Johnson is an American politician. She has been in the Texas House of Representatives for the 139th district since 2025. She is a member of the Democrat party. This party focuses on helping people and communities.

Before this, Johnson worked as a trustee for Houston Community College. In this job, she helped make decisions to support students and improve education. Her work there helped prepare her for her current job. In her current role, she works to create laws and support services for the people in her district.

Early life and education

Charlene Ward Johnson was born in Temple, Texas. She finished her studies at the University of Houston in 1991, earning a degree in technology. She was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. In 2021, she got a Masters degree from the University of Arizona Global Campus in organizational management.
