Dynamicism

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience

Dynamicism, also called dynamic cognition, is an idea in cognitive science. It helps us understand how our minds work. Philosopher Tim van Gelder helped make this idea well-known.

Dynamicism uses math ideas like differential equations and dynamical systems. These help explain how we think and learn better than older models. These older models include symbolicism, connectionism, and traditional computer models.

Dynamicism is closely linked to dynamical neuroscience. This field studies how the brain works with similar math tools. This way of thinking shows the mind and brain as always changing and working together. It gives new ideas about how we understand the world and make choices.
