Elections in Africa
Elections in Africa are important events where people choose their leaders. This page lists the most recent national elections that happened in African countries. Algeria

Benin

Guinea
Guinea had several important votes recently. There was a Presidential election on 28 December 2025. A Constitutional Referendum happened on 21 September 2025. The National Assembly election took place earlier, on 22 March 2020.
Guinea-Bissau
In Guinea-Bissau, big votes for the President and the National People's Assembly will happen on 23 November 2025. These votes are important for the country's leaders and government.
Kenya
Kenya has had several big votes in recent years. People voted for the president, leaders, and lawmakers on August 9, 2022. Before that, they voted on changing the country's rules on August 4, 2010.
Lesotho

Liberia

Mauritius
Mauritius had a big vote on 10 November 2024. People chose their leaders for the country's main government group.
Morocco
Morocco held elections for its Chamber of Representatives on September 8, 2021. This was a time for people to choose their leaders in the government.
Mozambique
In Mozambique, people voted for their leaders on October 9, 2024. This included choosing the President and members of the Assembly of the Republic.
Namibia
In Namibia, big elections happened on November 27, 2019. Both the Presidential and National Assembly elections were held together on that day.
Niger
