Freiburg is one of the four parts of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is in the southwest of the country. The area has the beautiful Black Forest hills and the Rhine valley.

Freiburg is split into three regions: Hochrhein-Bodensee, Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg, and Südlicher Oberrhein. It also has nine districts and 294 municipalities, making it a big and interesting place to learn about.

Economy

The Freiburg region had a strong economy. In 2018, the money made from goods and services was 86.9 billion euros. This was 2.6% of all the money made in Germany that year.

People in Freiburg can travel easily. There is a big airport called EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg near Germany, France, and Switzerland. Other airports like Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, Stuttgart Airport, Strasbourg Airport, and Zurich Airport are also close by.
