Grinnellaspis is an extinct group of ancient sea creatures called trilobites. Trilobites were marine animals that lived in the oceans millions of years ago. They had hard shells and special body shapes that help scientists learn about the past.

Grinnellaspis lived during the early Arenig stage of the Ordovician Period. This was around 478 to 471 million years ago. Many fossils from this time help us learn how life on Earth has changed.
