Hanno is an impact crater on the Moon. It is found near the southeastern edge, close to the western side of a dark area called Mare Australe. Nearby, there is another big crater named Pontécoulant.

This crater has been hit many times by smaller space rocks. This makes its edges rough and its inside mostly flat with just a few tiny craters.

The crater Hanno was named after Hanno the Navigator, an explorer from ancient times.
