Ntomba and Lia

Ntomba and Lia are two closely related languages spoken in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They belong to a group of languages called Bantu languages. Many people think of them as different versions, or dialects, of one language called Lia-Ntomba.

These languages are part of a larger family of languages spoken across many parts of Africa. Another language nearby, called the Mongo language, also has versions named Ntomba or Ntumba. This shows how closely these languages are connected.
