Adapted from Wikipedia · Adventurer experience
The Madrid metropolitan area is a large urban area in the centre of the Iberian peninsula, surrounding the municipality of Madrid, Spain. It is the largest metropolitan area in Spain.
The area includes two main zones of urban development. The inner ring includes cities like Alcorcón, Leganés, Getafe, and Móstoles. The outer ring includes places such as Villaviciosa de Odón, Parla, and Valdemoro. These suburbs stretch along major roads leading away from Madrid.
The Madrid metropolitan area plays an important economic role. It is a key centre for jobs and growth in Spain. However, challenges remain, such as improving transportation.
