Malawi sent athletes to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The country was represented by the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association of Malawi.

Two athletes from Malawi took part in the athletics events. Lucia Chandamale ran in the women's 5,000 m, and Chauncy Master ran in the men's 1,500 m. The races were held at the Beijing National Stadium in Chaoyang, Beijing, from August 15 to August 24, 2008.

Master came ninth in his race on August 15 and did not go to the next round. Chandamale came 15th in her race on August 19 and also did not move on.

Swimming

Two athletes from Malawi competed in swimming at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Charlton Nyirenda swam in the men's 50 m freestyle, and Zahra Pinto swam in the women's 50 m freestyle. The swimming events were held at the Water Cube from August 9 to 17, 2008.

Nyirenda swam his race on August 14 and finished first in his heat. Pinto swam her race on August 15 and finished third in her heat.
