Memorial

Types

When someone dies, families might ask for gifts to be given to a charity or for a tree to be planted in their memory. These are called grassroots memorials. Sometimes, memorials for students who have passed away are created as scholarships for future students.

Memorials that are very important to a whole country are called national memorials.
