Reach plc, formerly known as Trinity Mirror between 1999 and 2018, is a big British company that makes news, magazines, and online content. It is one of the largest news companies in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It shares its news with many people through more than 120 different print and online brands. Some of its famous titles include the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Sunday Express, and Daily Star. It also publishes local newspapers such as the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, and BirminghamLive, along with magazines like OK! and Scottish papers such as the Daily Record and Sunday Mail.

The company works from its main office at One Canada Square in London and is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Reach plc helps give news and information to millions of people in the UK and Ireland using both printed papers and digital platforms. Its many publications cover lots of different topics and areas, making it an important part of media in the region.

History

The Daily Mirror started in 1903, created by Alfred Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Northcliffe. Over time, the company changed owners many times. It became part of Trinity Mirror in 1999 after joining with another group.

In 2018, Trinity Mirror bought several famous newspapers like the Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, and OK!. The company later changed its name to Reach. Even with some difficulties, like less money from ads, Reach kept growing and began working in the United States.

Operations

Reach plc operates big newspapers in the UK, such as the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, Sunday People, and the Daily Record. It also prints and sells many other newspapers.

In 2013, Reach tried some new websites, but they closed them in 2015. In recent years, Reach has grown its online presence with new video studios and online brands. In 2025, the Daily Express started a daily YouTube show called the Daily Expresso. Reach also launched services like the OK! Beauty Box and an ecommerce site called Yimbly. In 2025, Reach focused more on video and audio content and started a digital subscription service.
