Roblox–Schlep controversy
On August 9, 2025, Schlep, a YouTuber who talks about Roblox, was banned from the game. Roblox said he broke their terms of service. Roblox Corporation sent him a cease and desist letter, saying they might take legal action if he did it again. Many people talked about this, and some said Roblox needed to do more to keep children safe. A U.S. Congressman, Ro Khanna, petitioned for Roblox to improve child safety.
On August 15, Schlep said he would countersue Roblox and had hired lawyers. Roblox said that some groups talked about harmful things off the game, and this made people uncomfortable. Because of these concerns, the attorney general of Louisiana, Liz Murrill, filed a lawsuit about child safety on Roblox. This caused more debate and protests.

Schlep started playing Roblox when he was twelve and had a scary experience with someone trying to trick kids online. This made him want to help keep children safe. He worked with another YouTuber, JiDion, and created fake accounts that looked like younger players. These accounts talked to adults who wanted to hurt children, collecting messages to show the police.
