Ruvubu National Park

Ruvubu National Park is a national park in Burundi. It covers 508 km² (196 mi²) and was set up in 1980. The park is in the provinces of Karuzi, Muyinga, Cankuzo and Ruyigi. It touches Tanzania to the south. The park is named after the Ruvubu River, which flows through it.

The park is the last natural grassland area in the northeast part of Burundi. It is home to many wild animals, including hippopotamus, Nile crocodile, Cape buffalo, waterbuck, and several types of duiker. There are also five kinds of primates, such as olive baboon, vervet monkey, red colobus monkey, blue monkey, and Senegal bushbaby. About 200 bird species have been seen in the park.
