Shen Weixiao

Shen Weixiao (Chinese: 沈维孝; pinyin: Shěn Wéixiào; born May 1975 in Guichi, Anhui, China) is a Chinese mathematician. He is known for his work in dynamical systems, especially real and complex one-dimensional dynamics.
He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1995. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2001.
Shen has worked as a professor at the National University of Singapore. He is currently a professor at Fudan University. He has made important contributions to mathematics. This includes solving part of the 11th problem on Smale's problems. He worked with Oleg Kozlovski and Sebastian van Strien.
Shen received the Chern Award from the Chinese Mathematical Society in 2009. In 2014, he was an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Seoul. He shared the stage with Sebastian van Strien. His work continues to influence the field of mathematics.

His research also covers interval maps, geometry for unimodal maps, and rigidity for real polynomials. These papers were published in respected math journals and have helped advance the field of dynamical systems.
