Andromeda XIV

Andromeda XIV, also called And XIV, is a small satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy. It is a type of galaxy known as a dwarf spheroidal galaxy. This means it is small, round, and has very few bright stars.

One interesting fact about Andromeda XIV is that it moves very fast—about 481 kilometers per second. Because it moves so quickly, it is thought to be at the escape velocity of the Andromeda Galaxy. This suggests that Andromeda XIV is not actually part of the group of galaxies called the Local Group. Instead, it may just be passing by the Andromeda Galaxy on its own journey through space.
