Equatorial Africa is a term that can mean a few different things. Sometimes it refers to the area in sub-Saharan Africa that the Equator passes through. Other times, people use it to talk about tropical Africa in general. In a more specific way, it can also describe the region of intra-tropical African rainforest. This area is important because of its unique plants, animals, and weather patterns. It helps us understand more about Earth's climate and the living world.
