The Florida College System Activities Association Incorporated (FCSAA) is an organization that helps manage after-school activities for its member schools in Florida. These activities include sports, academic competitions, music, drama, and more. The FCSAA makes sure these programs run smoothly and fairly for everyone involved.
Currently, 28 schools are part of the FCSAA. These schools work together to organize events and competitions, such as sports games and theater performances. Many of these activities are also part of larger groups, like the NJCAA Region 8, which helps connect schools from different places.
In the 1960s, the FCSAA went through an important change. Twelve schools that had mostly Black students were joined with other colleges. By 1966, all schools were fully integrated, meaning students from all backgrounds could participate together in these activities. This helped make the FCSAA more fair and welcoming for everyone.
