Hungary at the 2014 Winter Olympics

Hungary competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, from February 7 to February 23. The team included 16 athletes who took part in five different winter sports. Before the Olympics began, the Hungarian Olympic Committee received a letter warning about a possible attack on its athletes, but the warning was not considered serious. The athletes from Hungary joined many others from around the world to compete in events like skiing, ice skating, and more during this exciting winter sports event.
Alpine skiing

Hungary had three athletes in alpine skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Edit Miklós achieved a great result, finishing 7th in the women's downhill, which was the best performance ever for Hungary in alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics. Anna Berecz was notable for completing all five races she entered, along with Tina Maze and Macarena Simari Birkner.

Speed skating

Hungary earned spots for speed skating at the 2014 Winter Olympics based on results from the fall World Cups during the 2013–14 ISU Speed Skating World Cup season. The men’s team had opportunities to compete.
