Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Konstantynów is a small village located in Płock County, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland. It has a population of only 38 people.
From 1974 to 1991, this village was home to the tallest manmade structure ever built by humans. This was the Warsaw radio mast, which stood 646.38 metres high. It was used for broadcasting radio signals. Sadly, the mast collapsed during some renovation work on August 8, 1991, but no one was hurt in the accident.
Until 2010, the Warsaw radio mast held the record for the tallest structure in the world. That year, the Burj Khalifa took the title. The mast was an important part of Poland's broadcasting history.
