Hungary has ten national parks that cover about 10 percent of the country. These special areas are places where nature is protected, and they are managed by a government agency called the National Parks of Hungary. Some of these parks are very important and are recognized as World Heritage Site or part of a World Heritage Site, which means they have special value for all of humanity. These parks are wonderful places for people to enjoy the beauty of Hungary's forests, rivers, and mountains.
