Maluku is one of the 24 communes that make up the administrative divisions of Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This commune is mostly rural and covers a large part of the land around Kinshasa, but only a small part of the city's people live there.

Inside Maluku is the Nsele Wildlife Reserve, a special protected area for wildlife. This reserve is home to many different animals, such as primates, birds, African bush elephants, hippopotamus, giraffes, rhinos, lions, zebras, giant pangolins, and more. It helps keep these animals safe and their homes healthy.
