Political party strength in Colorado

Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience

Political parties play an important role in how Colorado is governed. This article looks at which political parties have had the most influence in the state over time. We will see which party held key jobs, like Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Secretary of State.

We will also look at the State Senate and State House of Representatives, which help make laws for Colorado. Plus, we will see which party’s person represented Colorado in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.

During years when America chose a new president, we will see which party’s candidate got Colorado’s votes too. This helps us understand how Colorado’s politics have changed over the years.
