Stilicho's Pictish War

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Discoverer experience

Stilicho's Pictish War was a conflict that took place around 398 AD between the forces of the Western Roman Empire, led by a general named Stilicho, and the Picts in Britain. Not much is known about this war because there are very few records from that time. The main source of information comes from a speech called a panegyric, written by a poet named Claudian, and another later work by a writer named Gildas.

The war ended with the Romans winning, but the details of the battles and what happened during the fighting are still unclear to historians today. This period helps us understand how the Roman Empire dealt with challenges far from its center, thousands of years ago.
