University of Transport and Communications

The University of Transport and Communications is a state university located in Hanoi, Vietnam. It has a long history, beginning in 1918 when it was founded as the College of Public Works during the time of French administration in Vietnam. After a period of closure, the university reopened on November 15, 1945, by the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, continuing its work as the College of Public Works. In more recent times, the Japanese School of Hanoi began operating on the university campus in 1996, adding an international element to its grounds.
