Welcome to Berlin!

Berlin is the capital city of Germany. It is the biggest city in the country, with over four million people living there. Berlin is built along the Spree river and has many parks, gardens, and lakes. About one-third of Berlin is green space, making it a very nice place to live and visit.

Famous Places in Berlin

Berlin is full of famous places and landmarks. One of the most well-known is the Brandenburg Gate. This big gate stands for peace and unity. Another important building is the Reichstag building, where Germany’s leaders meet. Inside, there is a beautiful glass dome that you can look through.

The city also has the East Side Gallery, a long piece of the old Berlin Wall that has been turned into an art gallery. People from all over the world come to see the colorful paintings on the wall.

Berlin has many fun things to do! You can visit the Museum Island, a special place with five big museums. One of them is the Pergamon Museum, which has ancient buildings and statues from faraway lands.

If you love animals, you can go to the Zoologischer Garten Berlin, one of the biggest zoos in the world. It has many different animals, including polar bears and giraffes.

Berlin is also famous for its parks. The Tiergarten is one of the largest parks in the city. It has beautiful trees, lakes, and even a victory column in the middle.
