Welcome to Blois!
Blois is a lovely city in France, sitting right next to the Loire River. It is found between two other cities, Orléans and Tours. Blois is the biggest city in the Loir-et-Cher area, which is part of the larger Centre-Val de Loire region.
Long ago, Blois was a very important place. It was once where French kings lived and made big decisions during a time called the Renaissance. This made Blois a busy and exciting spot for many years.
Exploring Blois
The heart of Blois is the grand Château of Blois. This beautiful old castle was once home to important kings and leaders. Around the château, you can find lovely gardens and fun places to visit.
Right in front of the château is a special museum called La Maison de la Magie Robert-Houdin. It is the only museum in Europe that shows magic tricks and has live magic shows!
Fun Places to See
Blois has many pretty and interesting spots. You can walk through Louis-XII Place, a lively area with shops and restaurants near the river. There are also beautiful green spaces like the Town Hall and Bishopric Gardens, where you can see a statue of Joan of Arc.
On the other side of the Loire River, you will find Blois-Vienne. This part of the city has a lovely park and a bridge that connects both sides of Blois.
