European Broadcasting Union
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is a group of public media companies from many countries in Europe and nearby areas. These media companies work together to share TV and radio programs.
The EBU was created in 1950. Its main office is in Geneva, Switzerland. It owns important networks called Eurovision and Euroradio. These help send live TV and radio shows to members.
One of the most famous events the EBU organizes is the Eurovision Song Contest. This is a yearly music contest where countries sing songs and vote for their favorites. It started in 1956 and has become very popular.
The EBU also organizes other fun events, like the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for younger singers and the Eurovision Young Musicians contest for young musicians. These events let young talents from different countries show their skills.
