What is a Flowchart?

A flowchart is a fun way to show how something works, step by step. Think of it like a map that guides you through a task or a problem. It uses simple shapes and arrows to make it easy to follow.

Flowcharts are used in many places, like schools, offices, and factories. They help people see the steps needed to finish a job. By looking at a flowchart, anyone can learn the right order to do things.

Shapes in a Flowchart

Flowcharts use different shapes for each step. Here are a few common ones:

  • Rectangle: This shows a step in the process, like “turn on the light.”
  • Diamond: This shows a decision, like “is the light on?” with answers “yes” or “no.”

Arrows connect the shapes to show the order. This makes even hard tasks easier to understand.

Why We Use Flowcharts

Flowcharts help us plan, teach, and improve work. They make jobs clearer and faster. Whether you’re learning a new hobby or helping a team work together, flowcharts are a great tool to see the whole picture.
