George W. Bush

George Walker Bush was the 43rd president of the United States. He served from 2001 to 2009. He was the eldest son of George H. W. Bush, the 41st president, and grew up in the well-known Bush family.

Before becoming president, Bush served as the governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000. In this role, he worked on improving schools and supporting new ideas like wind power.

Bush became president after winning the 2000 election. During his time as president, he focused on keeping the country safe and helping people around the world with health problems. He also worked on improving schools and helping older people pay for medicine.

Bush married Laura Welch in 1977. They have two daughters, Barbara and Jenna. Bush enjoys reading, painting, and playing golf. After leaving office, Bush and his family moved back to Texas, where they live today. He has spent time painting and helping with projects to support veterans and education.

Bush’s time as president was remembered for many important moments. People have different thoughts about his work, but he is known for trying to keep the country safe and for programs that helped many people.
