All About Huawei
Huawei is a big technology company from China. It was started in 1987 in a city called Shenzhen by a man named Ren Zhengfei. Huawei makes many cool things like phones, computer chips, and equipment that helps phones talk to each other.
Huawei works in more than 170 countries around the world. It became very famous because it makes important parts for phone networks. In 2012, it became the biggest company making these parts, even bigger than another company called Ericsson. By 2025, Huawei was the top seller of phones in China.
The name Huawei comes from a saying Ren Zhengfei saw: Zhonghua youwei, meaning “China has achievements.” Hua means China, and youwei means “promising.” Huawei wanted to teach everyone how to say its name correctly, not like “Hawaii!”
Huawei loves to invent new things. It works with famous companies like Leica, which makes cameras, to put special cameras in its phones. It also makes fitness trackers, smart glasses, and even helps build maps for cars. Huawei puts lots of money into learning and creating new technology, with labs in many countries.
