Lake Washington

Lake Washington is a big, beautiful lake next to the city of Seattle in the state of Washington. It is the largest lake in King County and is very special to many people.

The lake touches many cities. On the west is Seattle, and on the east are Bellevue and Kirkland. Mercer Island is an island right in the middle of the lake.

Lake Washington is a fun place for boating and fishing. You can catch many kinds of fish there, like sockeye salmon, rainbow trout, and largemouth bass. There are also special places for seaplanes, where planes land on the water!

Long ago, the lake was very dirty because of waste and cleaning products. But people worked hard to clean it up, and today the water is clear and healthy again. Lake Washington is now a lovely spot for everyone to enjoy.
