Lawn Tennis Association

The Lawn Tennis Association is the group that helps people in Great Britain, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man play and enjoy tennis. It started a long time ago, in 1888, to make sure everyone could play tennis, no matter their age or skill.

One of the most famous places for tennis in Britain is the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, near London. Many players train there to get better and have fun while playing. The centre has many different kinds of courts, like grass, clay, and hard courts, where players can practice.

Since 2017, the Princess of Wales has helped support the LTA. This shows how much tennis means to people in Great Britain and the nearby islands. The LTA works hard to keep tennis a wonderful sport for everyone to enjoy for many years to come.
