List of Tallest Buildings
Imagine a building so tall that it touches the sky! This list shows some of the tallest buildings in the world. These buildings have many floors where people can live or work.
The tallest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It is very tall—about as tall as 25 school buses stacked together! It has 163 floors and even has a hotel inside.
Here are some of the tallest buildings:
| Rank | Building | City | Country | Height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Burj Khalifa | Dubai | United Arab Emirates | 828 m |
| 2 | Merdeka 118 | Kuala Lumpur | Malaysia | 678.9 m |
| 3 | Shanghai Tower | Shanghai | China | 632 m |
| 4 | Mecca Royal Clock Tower | Mecca | Saudi Arabia | 601 m |
| 5 | Ping An Finance Centre | Shenzhen | China | 599.1 m |
Many of these tall buildings are in Asia, especially in China. Dubai and Shanghai are cities with several very tall buildings.
Tall buildings are amazing because engineers and architects design them to be strong and safe. They also make cities look very interesting with their tall, shiny structures reaching up into the sky!
