Miaolingian

The Miaolingian is an old time from long, long ago. It happened about 506.5 to 497 million years back! This time is part of something called the Cambrian Period. Scientists gave this name in 2018, and it comes from the beautiful Miaoling Mountains in China.

This special time is split into three parts: the Wuliuan, Drumian, and Guzhangian. These parts help scientists study Earth's very early history. During the Miaolingian, many new sea animals appeared and changed the world.

People know about the Miaolingian because it helps us learn how life began on our planet. Scientists look at old rocks and fossils to discover amazing secrets from this time. The Miaolingian came after the Cambrian Series 2 and before the Furongian.

The Miaolingian is a wonderful piece of Earth’s story, showing us how tiny sea creatures lived and changed millions of years ago.
