The Mongol Conquest of China

A long time ago, the Mongol Empire worked to bring many lands in China together under one rule. This big change happened over many years, from 1205 to 1279. It was a time when different parts of China joined as one family.

The story began with a leader named Genghis Khan. He started with small steps to grow his power. Years later, another leader named Kublai Khan finished the work. He created a new government called the Yuan dynasty. This was special because it was the first time people from far away, not the usual Han people of China, ruled the whole country.

During this time, many places joined together. Tibet became part of China for the first time. The Mongols used smart plans and helped people from different places work as one team. They even used special machines made by clever engineers to help them.

The Mongols wanted to save towns that agreed to work with them. This made many places join without big fights. Even after the work was done, some families kept their special jobs and titles. The story of the Mongol conquest shows how different groups can come together under new leaders.
