Northwest Stadium
Northwest Stadium is a big place where people watch sports and other fun events. It is in Landover, Maryland, close to Washington, D.C.. This stadium is where the Washington Commanders football team plays their home games.
The stadium opened in 1997 and has had a few different names over the years. It was first called Jack Kent Cooke Stadium, then FedExField, and now it is called Northwest Stadium. Today, it can hold up to 64,000 fans.
Besides football, Northwest Stadium is used for many other events. People can watch college football games, soccer matches, rugby games, and even concerts by famous singers and bands. It is a busy place with lots of exciting activities to enjoy.
The stadium has special sections named after famous people who used to play for the team, like Bobby Mitchell and Joe Gibbs. These sections make the place feel special for fans.
Northwest Stadium is owned by the Washington Commanders and managed by a company called Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. In the future, the team plans to build a new stadium in Washington, D.C. by the year 2030.
