Welcome to Serbia!

Serbia is a beautiful country in Europe. It is landlocked, meaning it does not touch the sea. Serbia is part of the Balkans and is close to many other countries like Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. The capital city is Belgrade, which is a big and busy place with lots of history.

A Land of History

People have lived in Serbia for thousands of years. Long ago, it was part of the big Roman Empire. Later, many different groups, like the Slavs, came to live there. Over time, Serbia became its own kingdom and even an empire! Today, Serbia is a democratic country and wants to join the European Union one day.

Nature and Climate

Serbia has many different landscapes. In the north, there is the flat Pannonian Plain, and in the south, there are tall mountains. The Danube River flows through the country, providing water for people and animals. Serbia has warm summers and cold winters, with lots of sunshine.

Daily Life in Serbia

Serbia’s culture is rich with traditions, music, and dance. Folk music and dancing are still popular today. The country also has many festivals, like the famous Guča Trumpet Festival, where people play loud trumpets and have fun.
