Shah Jahan
Shah Jahan was a famous leader of the Mughal Empire, a big kingdom in India. He ruled from 1628 to 1658. People also called him "Shah Jahan the Magnificent."
Shah Jahan is best known for the beautiful buildings he built. The most famous is the Taj Mahal, a wonderful white marble tomb. He built it to remember his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Other buildings he made include the Red Fort and the Shah Jahan Mosque.
Shah Jahan was born on January 5, 1592, in Lahore, which is now in Pakistan. His father was Jahangir, and his mother was Jagat Gosain. As a young prince, he learned important skills like leadership and also studied arts like poetry.
During his rule, Shah Jahan faced some hard times, like a big famine where there wasn’t enough food. But he worked hard to help his people. He also built many beautiful places that people still visit and admire today.
Even though his later years were difficult, with his sons fighting over who would be the next ruler, Shah Jahan’s legacy lives on through the amazing buildings he created. He passed away in 1666 and was buried next to Mumtaz Mahal in the Taj Mahal.
