The Summer Olympic Games are a big, happy event where athletes from all over the world come together to compete in many sports. It happens once every four years in a different city. The first modern Games were held in Athens in 1896, and the most recent Games were in Paris, France.

Athletes work very hard to get to the Olympics. They compete in many sports like running, swimming, gymnastics, and more. The winners get shiny medals: gold for first place, silver for second, and bronze for third.

Many countries have hosted the Olympics, including the United States, Great Britain, Australia, and Japan. Each host city gets to show off its special places and culture during the Games.

The Olympics bring people together through sports. It’s a time for friendship, excitement, and celebrating great achievements from athletes all around the world. The next Games will be in Los Angeles in 2028.
