Swimming at the 1932 Summer Olympics
The 1932 Summer Olympics were held in Los Angeles, a big city in the United States. Swimming was one of the fun sports at these games. Swimmers from many places came together to race and show their skills.
There were eleven swimming races. Six races were for boys, and five were for girls. The races happened over two weeks, from August 6 to August 13, 1932. Swimmers from 20 different countries joined in, with 128 swimmers trying to win medals.
Japan and the United States were very good at swimming in 1932. They won most of the gold medals. Australia also did well, winning some medals too. Swimmers from many other countries, like Netherlands, France, and Great Britain, also took part and tried their best.
The Olympic Games are special because people from all over the world come together to compete fairly and have fun. Swimming at the 1932 Olympics showed how fast and skilled swimmers were back then.
