Texas A&M University

Texas A&M University is a big school in College Station, Texas. It is also called Texas A&M, A&M, TA&M, or TAMU. The school started in 1876 and has grown to be one of the largest in the United States, with more than 72,000 students.

The main campus is huge, covering more than 5,500 acres. It has many buildings for different subjects like engineering, science, and farming. There is also a special place called the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Students and teams are called Aggies, and they play in the Southeastern Conference.

Texas A&M has many traditions that make it special. Students often say "Howdy!" to each other. One big tradition is the Aggie Muster on April 21, where people remember students who have passed away. Another tradition is Silver Taps, a quiet ceremony to honor students who have passed away while studying there.

The school has many sports teams, called the Aggies. Their colors are maroon and white. The most popular sport is football, played at Kyle Field. Texas A&M also has teams for basketball, soccer, volleyball, and more. Students love to cheer for their teams and feel very proud of their school.
