Who Was Thor?

Thor is a very old and loved god from Norse mythology. People have told stories about him for many, many years. He is best known as the god of thunder. That means he controls storms and lightning in the sky.

Thor carries a special hammer called Mjölnir. It is very powerful and helps him in many adventures. Even today, people still remember Thor in many ways. For example, the day we call Thursday comes from his name.

Thor’s Family

Thor has a big family in the stories. His father is Odin, the king of the gods. His wife is Sif, a beautiful goddess with golden hair. Thor also has strong and brave sons.

Why Thor Is Loved

Thor is important because people loved his stories very much. He appears in many books, artworks, and even movies today. People still learn about him in schools and libraries. Whether through old tales or new films, Thor remains a favorite hero for many around the world.
