The Titanic

The RMS Titanic was a very big ship that sailed across the ocean. It started its journey from Southampton in England to New York City in the United States. People remember the Titanic because it was one of the largest ships ever built at that time.

Titanic had wonderful rooms for passengers, like a gym, a swimming pool, fancy restaurants, and beautiful cabins. Even though the ship had safety features, something very sad happened during its first trip. The ship hit an iceberg and sank. Many people were on board, and helpers from another ship arrived to rescue those who were still safe.

After the Titanic sank, new safety rules were made for ships. Now, ships have enough lifeboats for everyone and regular safety checks. The story of the Titanic is still famous today, and people learn about it in books, movies, and museums.

The Titanic was built in Belfast, Ireland, and was part of a group of big ships called the Olympic class. It had ten decks and could carry many passengers and crew members. The ship’s journey taught everyone how important safety at sea is.

Today, people visit places like Titanic Belfast to learn more about the ship and its history. The story of the Titanic helps us remember to always think about safety and helping others.
