Welcome to Toronto!

Toronto is a big, busy city in Canada. It is the capital city of the province called Ontario. Imagine a place where many people live, speak many languages, and enjoy lots of fun things to do!

A City of Many Cultures

Toronto is special because people from all over the world live there. About half of the people were born in another country. Over 200 different groups of people call Toronto home. They speak more than 160 languages! This makes Toronto one of the most multicultural cities in the world.

Things to See and Do

Toronto has many exciting places to visit. You can see art in museums, watch plays in theatres, or listen to music in big halls. The city has beautiful parks where you can play and relax. Every year, lots of visitors come to enjoy Toronto’s festivals, shows, and lively streets.

Famous Teams

Toronto loves its sports teams! The city has teams in hockey, baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. Some of these teams have won big prizes many times. Watching a game can be a fun adventure!

Getting Around

Toronto has many ways to get around. Buses, streetcars, and subways help people move quickly. There are also bike paths and places to walk. The city is busy, so having many ways to travel helps everyone get where they need to go.

Toronto is a wonderful place full of energy, friends from many lands, and lots of fun things to explore!
