Cambodia at the Olympics

Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience

Cambodia has taken part in 11 Summer Olympic Games but has never won a medal. They have also never been in the Winter Olympic Games.

Cambodia first joined the Olympics in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia. But they only competed in Stockholm, Sweden for the equestrian events, which were held there because of rules. Cambodia did not join the events in Melbourne because of the Suez Crisis.

After the 1972 Summer Olympics, Cambodia did not return to the Olympics for 24 years. This was during a very hard time. Cambodia joined the Olympics again in the 1996 Summer Olympics and has been part of every Summer Olympics since then.
