Seychelles joined the Olympic Games for the first time in 1980. Since then, they have sent athletes to every Summer Olympic Games except in 1988, when they did not answer the invitation from the IOC. Seychelles has never competed in the Winter Olympic Games.
So far, no athlete from Seychelles has won an Olympic medal. The National Olympic Committee for Seychelles was formed in 1979 and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee that same year.
