Who Are African Americans?

African Americans have given a lot to America. They have created famous kinds of music like hip hop, R&B, and blues. Their food, like fried chicken and soul food, is loved by many.

Many African American writers have shared powerful stories. Famous authors include Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou. Their books help us understand different experiences and dreams.

Where They Live

Most African Americans live in the southern part of the United States. But you can find them in many cities and towns all over the country. They have made communities that are full of life and culture.

African Americans are a proud part of America’s story. Their history, music, food, and words continue to inspire people everywhere.
