Albert S. Bickmore

Albert Smith Bickmore was a person who loved nature. He was born on March 1, 1839, in a small town called St. George near Maine. As a child, he enjoyed collecting shells and learning about plants and animals.
Bickmore studied at Dartmouth College and later worked with a famous teacher named Louis Agassiz. He had a big dream to create a special place where people could learn about nature. With some friends, he helped start the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
In his life, Bickmore also wrote a book about his travels. He visited many places and shared his adventures with others. He passed away on August 12, 1914, but his love for nature continues to inspire people.
