Coral Gables is a lovely city in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is part of the big Miami metropolitan area in South Florida. You can find it just 7 miles from Downtown Miami.

Coral Gables is famous for its beautiful Mediterranean-style buildings. These buildings have colorful tiles and rounded tops, making the city look like a special place from long ago. The city was planned by a man named George Merrick in 1925. He named it after his family’s old home, which had coral-colored tiles.
