Coral Gables is a lovely city in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is part of the big Miami metropolitan area in South Florida. You can find it just 7 miles from Downtown Miami.

A Special Place

Coral Gables is famous for its beautiful Mediterranean-style buildings. These buildings have colorful tiles and rounded tops, making the city look like a special place from long ago. The city was planned by a man named George Merrick in 1925. He named it after his family’s old home, which had coral-colored tiles.

There are many fun places to visit in Coral Gables. You can see the lovely University of Miami, which is the biggest place that gives jobs in the city. There are also nice spots like the Venetian Pool and the grand Miami Biltmore Hotel. People love to visit these places and enjoy the city's special style.
