Iran is a big and beautiful country in West Asia. It has many neighbors, including Iraq, Turkey, and Pakistan. Iran is one of the largest countries in the world, with over 92 million people living there. The capital city is Tehran, which is also the biggest city.

Iran has a very old history. People have lived there for hundreds of thousands of years! Long ago, Iran was ruled by great leaders like Cyrus the Great, who started the Achaemenid Empire. This empire was one of the biggest in the world. Ancient Iran was important for developing writing, farming, and religion.

Modern Iran

Today, Iran is known for its rich resources, especially oil and natural gas. It plays an important role in world affairs. The country has a special government where the Supreme Leader makes big decisions. People also vote for a president who helps run everyday matters.

Nature and Wildlife

Iran has many different landscapes. In the north, near the Caspian Sea, the weather is mild and rainy. In the east and center, there are dry deserts like the Kavir Desert. Iran is home to many animals, including the rare Asiatic cheetah. The country also has beautiful forests and mountains.

Culture and Traditions

Iran has a rich culture with beautiful art, music, and literature. Traditional Persian poetry is famous worldwide, with poets like Rumi and Ferdowsi. Iranian carpets are known for their detailed designs and are valued all over the world. The country’s cuisine includes delicious dishes like kebab, pilaf, and stew, often enjoyed with rice and flavored with saffron.
